I have never been held on the rockiest times feeling safe and content with my day
I have never been kissed by the softest of lips or been touched in the tenderest way
I have never been there when the sun disappears and the night drifts across from the sea
I have never made love while the stars up above listened softly and waited for me

I’ve never seen flowers or rolled in the grass while the birds shared their secrets above
I’ve never danced naked in fountains of water, while cooled in the pool of your love
I’ve never been bathed as the rain from above dappled needles of cold on my soul
I’ve never cried tears as the music of hope filled my body and made me feel whole

You’ve never been seen when the desperate sound of my love reaches out for your heart
You’ve never been there when i’ve drunken too much and my sadness has torn me apart
You’ve never been seen in another one’s arms but we know that you’re sleeping around
You’ve never been heard singing sweetly to me, but I bet it’s a heavenly sound

You’ve never been blessed with a kiss from my lips or a touch on the waist from my hand
You’ve never been there when i’ve dreamed of the stars beaming down while I lay on the sand
You’ve never been seen with my arm in your arm yet everyone knows what I lust
You’ve never been given the greatest of gifts. You’ve never been blessed with my trust
