"Enjoy The Silence"

I worry I talk too much. A friend of mine once said that since he met me he didn’t understand the meaning of “uncomfortable silence” because I never gave it a chance. If there is a silence, I speak. I even interrupt people sometimes because I get so excited and just have to say the words I was thinking before they disappear.

Got shouted at in Uni on Thursday for talking. But isn’t that the thing that separates us from every other creature on the planet… the fact we can actually talk. Why do people try and suppress this? We can talk… we even talk in different languages… not only can we talk as a species, we can also talk in ways where we can’t all understand each other. We invent new languages and new words all the time (minging is a brilliant word) so why not constantly just speak!?

  1. i wish i had that gift. i hate it when i don’t have anything to say. the uncomfortable silence is all too familiar to me.

i find it amazing when i meet people that can just talk and talk and talk non-stop. i even have a few friends like this.
